Support Long Run Pony Club

Pony Club Mission:

The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., develops character, leadership, confidence and a sense of community in youth through a program that teaches the care of horses and ponies, riding and mounted sports.

No one learns to ride alone. Learning to ride, the equipment and tack, the riding school, area shows and competitions, having your own farm for some -  the VERY NATURE of learning about horses and riding takes a cooperative community of folks! Our pony club members need a champion. They need a community of champions willing to invest in them. By helping continue that community, you provide for those willing and able to care for horses. Whether new to riding, having never left or coming back to it, by landing on this page. Our champions include a network of alums and supporters cheering one another on and showing what’s possible. If interested in learning how to give your time and talents, equine wishlist items or offer financial support to further our mission, please email us at LongRunPC@gmail.com

Volunteer

      - meetings both mounted and unmounted need volunteer instructors, hospitality, assistant “readers” for our younger pre-reader members.
      - local shows and competitions need volunteers all the time, and our members are encouraged to work a full day or 3 hour shift as able. It’s a great way to learn!

      - Coordinators for

         • D, C, B, HA & A member programming for mounted and unmounted meetings

         • Rallies camps for each level

         • Holiday Party & Gifts

Gifts in Kind

      - We are currently collecting items for used tack sale booth at area events. The Hitching Post has generously invited our club to participate in one soon.
      - We need old magazines and crafting supplies, Breyer horses, jumps, dressage rings, etc. These can all be used to teach curriculum and prepare for Quiz Rally, but also entertain siblings, guests and our youngest members!

December Dinner

     - Date & location is pending! We look forward to seeing everyone. It will likely be on a Monday, since most lesson programs don’t have lessons on a Monday. Also, since most have other family, school, and social obligations most weekends from Thanksgiving through the end of the year, a Monday is when most might be able to make it!

Spring Schooling Show

     - Once the KHJA and other calendars are out for 2024, we will be hosting revitalizing our annual fundraiser. It will be a schooling hunter show, generously hosted by one of our USPC alumns and guest instructors, Nikki Peterson at her farm, Scenic Hill Equestrian.
